E-PUM: PUM Deployment Using a Response File Throws Error “Invalid Value [PUM] Specified for ‘Install_type’ Parameter. Valid Values [‘DEMO’, ‘SYS’]” (Doc ID 3066754.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to do a silent install using a response file based on the sample file from the installation guide (PeopleSoft Deployment Packages for Update Images Installation) for a full-tier installation of FSCM PUM #50 the following error occurs.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create response file for PUM Installation.
2. Run the command psft-dpk-setup.bat --silent --response_file=<full_path/filename.txt>
3. The installation process failed with above error in psft_dpk_setup.log file.
