STEPS

1. Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Operational Reporting > GL Insights Tree Configuration > ChartFields = Account and Department

2. Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Common Definitions > User Preferences > Define User Preferences >
    a. Click General Ledger link
    b. Click Insights Preferences link
    c. Business Unit = US001, Actuals Ledger = LOCAL, Tree Name = DEPARTMENTS 1900-01-01, CC Business Unit = US005
 
3. PeopleTools > Search Framework > Administration > Deploy Insights Dashboards
    a. Dashboard Name: GL Operational Insights
    b. Check boxes for GL Operational Insights and GL Operational Insights (Tile)
    c. Click Deploy icon

4. PeopleTools > Search Framework > Administration > Deploy Search Objects
    a. Check boxes for: EP_GL_LEDGER_KIB, EP_GL_JOURNAL_KIB, EP_GL_ACT_BUDG_LEDG_KIB
    b. Click Undeploy icon
    c. Deploy Status = Undeployed, Deploy Status = Undeployed, Crawl Status = Not Crawled
  
5. PeopleTools > Search Framework > Administration > Deploy Search Objects
    a. Check boxes for: EP_GL_LEDGER_KIB, EP_GL_JOURNAL_KIB, EP_GL_ACT_BUDG_LEDG_KIB
    b. Deploy Status = Undeployed
    c. Click Deploy icon
    d. Deploy Status = Deployed, Crawl Status = Not Crawled

6. PeopleTools > Search Framework > Administration > Schedule Search Indexes
    a. Run Control ID = EP_GL_ACT_BUDG_LEDG_KIB_FULL, Search Definition = EP_GL_ACT_BUDG_LEDG_KIB > click Run
    b. Run Control ID = EP_GL_JOURNAL_KIB_FULL, Search Definition = EP_GL_JOURNAL_KIB > click Run
    c. Run Control ID = EP_GL_LEDGER_KIB_FULL, Search Definition = EP_GL_LEDGER_KIB > click Run

7. PeopleTools > Search Framework > Administration > Deploy Search Objects
    a. Definitions: EP_GL_LEDGER_KIB, EP_GL_JOURNAL_KIB, EP_GL_ACT_BUDG_LEDG_KIB
    b. Crawl Status = Successful

8. PeopleTools > Security > User Profiles > User Profiles > VP1 > Add Roles: Insights GL Edit Privilege, Insights GL View Privilege

9. Home > Finance & Accounting add Tiles: Financial Performance Analysis, Financial Position Trending

10. Click Tile for Financial Performance Analysis
      a. Click link for ‘Open in OneSearch Dashboards’
      b. Click the Edit icon
      c. Scroll down to ‘Top 5 Expense Accounts’ > Results returned
      d. Click on the gear > select ‘Edit visualization’
      e. Click on ‘Expense Account Type’ and select ‘Edit filter’
      f. Field = Account Type, Operator = is, add Value add ‘X’ > click Enter
      g. Save
      h. Results = No results found
