Satisfied Academic Requirement Group Not Collapsing For Students Who Transferred in Some of the Required Course Work. (Doc ID 3072396.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 18, 2025

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Academic Advisement - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When generating the Advisement Report, an Academic Requirement that is based on a certain minimum GPA and number of units taken from the course list, is showing as not satisfied in some cases, when it's expected to show as satisfied since the GPA and units requirements are met.

In one example, an Academic Requirement is used that requires a 2.5 gpa and 84 units taken from the course list. The minimum grade acceptable for the classes on the course list is 2.0. There is a student on the course list with a 4.0 gpa and 90 units taken, of which some of those units were transferred, and to accommodate for these transfer units, a Student Exception was granted to the student at a line level.  For this student, the requirement is shown as not satisfied, even though the student's GPA and units seem to clearly exceed the requirements.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Academic advisement > Advisement Processes >Generate Report Requests.
  2. Generate the report and view the details.
