Fluid Class Search: Keyword Search Not Functioning As Expected After PUM 34 (Doc ID 3074621.1)

Symptoms

Fluid Class Search: before PUM 34, a search for "ENG Online Hybrid" would return relevant English courses with an Online instruction mode. However, after PUM 34, this type of search no longer works. Instead, users must search for "ENG" and "Online Hybrid" separately to retrieve the expected results.
This change impacts usability and the effectiveness of our search process.

PUM 34:

  1. Add “ON - Online Hybrid” to Instruction Mode component.
  2. Add new ECON class with Instruction mode = ON.
  3. Run pre-process and incremental index update.
  4. In Fluid Class Search, enter keywords “ECON Online Hybrid”.
  5. No results returned.

PUM 33:

  1. Add “ON - Online Hybrid” to Instruction Mode component.
  2. Add new ECON class with Instruction mode = ON.
  3. Run pre-process and incremental index update.
  4. In Fluid Class Search, enter keywords “ECON Online Hybrid”.
  5. Class returned in search.
