The cases reported so far have all been with environments on 8.58 or older Tools. If experiencing the issue on 8.59 version or higher, please file a service request and Support will investigate and modify this document accordingly, or create a new/separate document, after the investigation. Before filing a case, please note the specific "UnsupportedClassVersionError" with this issue, as there are many other versions of Java Exceptions that indicate different issues.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid > Federal Application Data > Correct ISIR Records and retrieve any available record.
  2. Click 'Calc SAI' button on the original Official transaction or after adding a new Unofficial transaction row.
  3. Observe error message displayed on the page, referencing the specific Java Exception  "UnsupportedClassVersionError"

Changes

The issue occurs after applying new fixes related to the Federal Need Analysis Calculator (FM NAC), such as an update to the sfp-calculator-all-1.0.jar file. For example, in the latest reported case, the issue was experienced after applying <Bug 36942592> from CS 9.2 PUM Image 34.
