Symptoms

After upgrading from PeopleTools (PT) 8.58.22 to 8.61.07, the following errors are seen in the SMTP log (found in the application server's LOGS directory) when sending a test email.

 



Replication steps:

1. Upgrade an environment to PT 8.61.
2. Set up SMTP and SMTP logging/tracing, and send a test email.
3. Open the SMTP log, and observe the errors above.
