E-FTP: SFTP Not Working When Using SSH Keys Through Digital Certificates Page (Doc ID 3076084.1)

Symptoms

Starting from PeopleTools release 8.60 , SFTP is not working when using SSH keys from the Digital Certificates page. FILETRANSFER.LOG file shows below errors

SSH public key authentication failed: Invalid public key

SSH public key authentication failed: Callback returned error


This issue can be replicated using below steps:

1. Configure SFTP using AUTHTYPE, SSHKEYALIAS, USER and PASSWORDKEY in the URL Properties (PeopleTools -> Utilities -> Administration -> Maintain URLs)
2. Copy the contents of public and private keys to the Digital Certificates page (PeopleTools -> Security -> Security Objects -> Manage Digital Certificates)
3. Try to attach the file using SFTP URL Identifier

Result : It fails.
