On Simulate FM and Correct ISIR Components, 'Return to Search' Incorrectly Populates Aid Year From User Defaults Instead of Most Recent Aid Year Used
(Doc ID 3078131.1)
Last updated on MARCH 21, 2025
Applies to:
PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On either the Correct ISIR or Simulate FM components, when accessing a record for an Aid Year that is not the same as the default Aid Year then clicking 'Return to Search', the Aid Year changes to the default Aid Year.
These components are expected to work like all others in Financial Aid with 'Return to Search' maintaining whatever same Aid Year was just being viewed.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Navigate to Set Up SACR > User Defaults > User Defaults 2 and set Aid Year to 2025.
- Navigate to Financial Aid > Federal Application Data > Correct ISIR Records and retrieve any record for Aid Year 2026.
- Click 'Return to Search' and note the same emplid is maintained but the Aid Year is switched to 2025.
- Repeat steps 2-3 for Financial Aid > Federal Application Data > Simulate FM, and note the same behavior.
- Repeat the steps again for any other Financial Aid component (e.g. Financial Aid > Awards > Award Processing > Assign Awards to a Student) and note Aid Year 2026 is maintained on the search page as expected.
Changes
The issue occurs after applying the Financial Aid updates, originally delivered in CS 9.2 PUM 31, that changed the Correct ISIR and Simulate FM components to be non-Aid Year specific starting with Aid Year 2025.
