Symptoms
The following is an example of a journal entry in a USD base currency Business Unit:
Debit
Foreign amount: 150.00 CAD
Base amount: 100.00 USD
Credit
Foreign amount: -100.00 USD
Base amount: -100.00 USD
When this journal is edited, it fails with an out of balance error.
Question:
Why is the journal out of balance even though the base amounts of 100.00 USD and -100.00 USD are in balance (net to 0.00)?
