Symptoms

:
Several states have changed their quarterly unemployment wage requirements effective for first quarter 2001 reporting. These changes will be included in Tax Update 01-C (scheduled availability date = May 4, 2001) but will also be posted in order for customers to meet the 4/30/2001 filing deadline. Any state changes  that also require database changes are being rolled into this incident. This way customers will not have to insure prerequisites are applied before they apply an individual incident requiring database changes.

The changes included in this incident are:

TAX810MO.SQR: Missouri Quarterly Unemployment Reporting via Magnetic Media specifications revised effective for 2001 Reporting: Both cartridge and diskette filers can use Missouri 72 Character File Format

TAX810NE.SQR: Only cartridge reporting effective for 2nd quarter 2001 unemployment wage reporting via magnetic media (Nebraska no longer allows tape and diskette options)

TAX810WY.SQR: Effective 1st Quarter 2001 Worker's Comp Code expanded to a 9 digit Employer Number

TAX860AZ.SQR: Arizona issues new magnetic media specifications for quarterly unemployment wage reporting: effective 1st quarter 2001 MMREF-1 format now required (TAX810AZ now obsolete replaced by TAX860AZ)

TAX860LA.SQR: MMREF Format Required for 1st Quarter 2001 Quarterly Wage Reporting

TAX860OR.SQR: Oregon issues new magnetic media specifications for quarterly unemployment wage reporting: effective 1st quarter 2001 MMREF-1 format replaces TIB-4 format (TAX810OR replaced by TAX860OR)

TAX810OR.lis/TAX860OR.lis: Hours Reported are incorrect when there are multiple companies processed. The first company's totals and file grand totals are correct however the second company, etc.'s totals reflect cummulative totals instead of individual totals.

*******
Additional info:

Tax Update 01-C is scheduled for posting 5/4 which will not be in time for the first quarter unemployment wage reporting deadline of 4/30/2001.
Consequently any state with changes needs to be posted prior to the deadline. Six of the states required database changes (in addition to the sqr changes).
It was determined that it would be helpful for customers if these 6 incidents were combined or 'rolled-up' into one incident. This way prerequisites would not be necessary and conflicting data would be minimized.
