E-SEC: How to create a secondary Access ID (SYSADM) on Oracle (Doc ID 611946.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 03, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On platforms like MSSQL, DB2, Informix, and Sybase the creation of a secondary Access ID is pretty straight forward, In PT 8.1x you go in Application Designer to Tools > Miscellaneous Objects > Access Profiles and create a new access ID not more than 8 characters long, or the password either. In PT 8.4x you go in Application Designer to Tools > Miscellaneous Definitions > Access Profiles and do the same.

However, on Oracle if you create a second one through PeopleSoft it doesn't seem to take at the Oracle level. So how can this be done?
