Consolidations are calculated on a Year-to-Date basis, so if a customer's Business Unit relationships change, we do not want to restate the history with the most recent relationships.
We should be able to have consolidations and equitizations calculate based on different effective dates to accommodate ownership changes.
Ownership calculations are based on the current effective dated ownership percentages. The calculation should apply to the period effective dated ownership percentages vs. the latest effective dated row.
For example -
Effdt Parent Sub %
1/1/95 M04 M60 50%
2/1/95 M04 M60 75%
The current process would use the percentage 75% for YTD and balance calculations since it's the latest effective-dated row. Instead, using period percentages for each period balance would be more accurate.
