E-LDAP: Unable to logon if LDAP attribute %SignonUserId or OPRID is over 30 characters (Doc ID 620150.1)

This issue is LDAP related. If you setup the directory authentication and in the Authentication map page you set the search attribute to 'mail' and the user id attribute on the user profile map is set to uid, then you would assume a user ( uid = Joe Smith mail = 1234567890123456789012345678901234567890 ) who attempts to signon using their 'mail' account, in this case over 30 (actually 40) characters in length, would be able to authenticate, and the User Profile Component Interface would create the OPRID in the PSOPRDEFN table using the users uid of JSMITH, which is only 5 characters. But this does not work. It will ONLY work if the email address is less than 30 characters. Like mail = 123456789012345678901234567890.

This is true with any %SignonUserId attribute used over 30 characters.
