Symptoms

In an 8.4x environment, Application Engine processes are sometimes unable to be run via the Command Line or via the Process Scheduler on USS. In both places, this error is received:

"Error in sign on
Reason: Invalid user ID or password for database signon. (id=)
Note: Attempt to authenticate using GUID 9d6cf8e4-8216-11d8-b24c-e83ac9c02441
Invalid command line argument list. Usage:
