Symptoms
1. Reason not taken = D
401k Deductions Not Taken; Erroneous 402g Limit Exceeded Message
401k deductions are not taken and appear with REASON_NOT_TAKEN = D on the paycheck. None of the affected employees have exceeded their limits; some would not have reached their limit on this check but the deductions were stopped .
Thet 402g limits were being limited prematurely and for a seemingly random amount.
2. Reason not taken = M
When running payroll the 403B deduction was not taken on a severance payment (SEV) due to maximum (M).
