E-REN: REN Server Ping Test Produces Error "HTTP 403 forbidden" and Logs Error "invalid token" to App Server Log (Doc ID 647912.1)

Symptoms

The following error is returned when running a REN server ping test:

    HTTP 403 forbidden


In the APPSRV_MMDD.LOG, this message is shown:

PSAPPSRV.808 (183) [09/16/08 09:20:29 RenRequest](3) PeopleSoft Token authentication failed: invalid token signature: USER123@abc.def.com
PSAPPSRV.808 (183) [09/16/08 09:20:29 RenRequest](2) (PSAPPSRV): The REN Server authentication request received an invalid token: ....


The following message is shown in the REN server log if debug logging is enabled:

29648.53680 [29/Jul/2009 17:14:29](Dbg) CRenTuxSvcMgr::Authenticate - Token rejected by AppServer.
29648.53384 [29/Jul/2009 17:14:29](Notice) Access denied for qepingtest.html request.
