Symptoms

Enterprise Time and Labor Release 8.9

ISSUE:-

There is an error where if a job record has multiple effective sequence records with different BUSINESS_UNIT values in PS_JOB, the business unit will be loaded incorrectly on timesheet.

The Time and Labor uses the SQL object TL_JOB_BU to load the default business_unit.
This SQL does not contain effective sequence logic. Therefore, if an employee is loaded who has multiple rows, the Business Unit is always populated with the value from the first effective sequenced row.

Original SQL:
SELECT B.BUSINESS_UNIT
FROM PS_JOB B
WHERE B.EMPLID = :1
AND B.EMPL_RCD = :2
AND EFFDT = (
SELECT MAX(A.EFFDT)
FROM PS_JOB A
WHERE A.EMPLID = B.EMPLID
AND A.EMPL_RCD = B.EMPL_RCD
AND A.HR_STATUS = 'A')
AND B.HR_STATUS = 'A'
