You are allowed to save the  W-4 in Self Service with a Married status and then check the box for Married but withhold as single. But when you look at the Tax Data table behind the scenes, it actually saves Single status (as it should).   The next time you access the Employee Self Service page it shows Single.  If you try to enter Married and that checkbox directly to the EE tax table, it doesn't warn you just saves the status as Single, not Married as you entered.

We need to  generate a warning message on the Self Service W-4 Tax Data page if an employee has the following inconsistent datANSWER:
-Tax Marital Status: Married
-If married, but withholding at single rate, select Single status and check here: box checked
Warning Message generated alerting employee that data will be saved as Single Tax Marital Status based on checkbox entry even though Married Tax Marital Status is indicated

Better yet, if they click on that checkbox Married, but withhold at single rate, have the PeopleCode automatically change the radio button from Married to Single.  Along with a message.
