When a new employee is added to the system the Primary Indicator for the Ethnic Group no longer defaults with the selection of an Ethnic Group.
The primary indicator is no longer required when entering an Ethnic Group on the Employee Personal Data. DIVERS_ETHNIC.PRIMARY_INDICATOR is no longer mandatory. This change to DVR_ETH_USA_SBR.PRIMARY_INDICATOR.SaveEdit was introduced in Resolution 734326 - HRMS 8.9 Bundle #17 and Resolution 734380 - HRMS 9.0 Bundle #7 back in 2007 to meet regulatory changes.
When you have an employee that has no Ethnic Groups and you add one Ethnic Group, the Primary field is checked by default. You can un-check the Primary field and save the data but the Primary field is re-checked upon save. If you add another Ethnic Group and uncheck the Primary field on the first Ethnic Group you can have the data with no Primary field checked.
