PeopleSoft systems that receive messaging transactions via Integration Broker (IB), may occasionally get IB messages or web service calls from a wrong server.
For example a test system created by cloning a production sender system may continue to send data to production receiving system, and mess up the production data.

A possible way to prevent such situations might be to restrict which servers can send data to the receiving system, for example filtering them by IP address or by server name.

The question is, what options are available to implement sender machine filtering in different layers: Integration Broker, PIA/Portal, web server, firewall, or any other?
