Symptoms


Even though trace settings are not enabled, either in psappsrv.cfg or on the URL, a lot of trace files are seen generated in the appserver logs folder. The setting that is turned on is ErrorLogReport  =Y, but because of this, the additional information related to application errors, that should be written in appsrv.log are seen reported separately  in the form of .trace.sql files. In fact trace files are generated even when there are no SQL errors.
This is quickly filling up the appserver log folder and also impacting scripts that are used to analyze the appserver log files.
