Symptoms
Customers have enabled extended logging using the document below:
E-WL: Enabling and Configuring an HTTP Log for WebLogic 9.2 and 10.3 (Doc ID 662319.1)
When Apache, IIS or Sun Java Web Server is used as a proxy server in front of WebLogic, the WebLogic access.log shows all clients IP Addresses as the one assigned to the proxy server rather than the actual client that has generated the request.
NOTE: The PSACCESSLOG was designed for general user logging rather than to support formal compliance or audit processes. If the proxy server or load balancer address is appearing instead of the client's IP Address, this requires customization of the Signon PeopleCode to pick up the value being sent from the fields of the proxy server. Different servers have different fields. This is considered a customization and considered out of scope for the Global Support Center.
NOTE: The c-ip parameter is the one that will capture the clients IP Address from the solution above.
