E-REN: Can't Start REN Server after Installing SSL: "error loading certificate" or "error loading private key" (Doc ID 664327.1)

After installing a digital certificate for REN SSL, the PSRENSRV process fails when starting the application server domain. One of the following errors is logged to <PS_HOME>/appserv/<DOMAIN_NAME>/LOGS/PSRENSRV_MMDD.LOG:

Error 1
10384.12776 [22/Jun/2010 00:02:08](ERROR) nsopenssl: error loading certificate file "E:\psoft\cs90prd\appserv\CS90PRD\psrenserver\modules\nsopenssl\cs90prdRen.pem" The public key in the certificate not match the corresponding private key. Check for possible duplicate Root Certificate.
