E-REN: Unable to Connect to the Ren Server, No REN Server logs are generated. (Doc ID 664674.1)

Customer has configured REN Server. When trying to run reports , a pop-up window with an error of "Unable to connect to the RenServer" is displayed. Ping Test and Buffer Test for REN Server are giving following error page:

The Requested URL could not be retrieved.
While trying to retrieve the URL: http://<hostname>:7180/psren/qepingtest.html

The following error was encountered :
Connection Failed.

The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again"

No REN Server logs are generated. Also, no messages specific to PSRENSRV are recorded in application server logs.
