Goal
Can two Application Server domains Share a common Cache Folder ?
Example:
======
Customer has two application server domains on the same machine, they are connected to the same database. The would like to make use one cache: "CACHE" in both servers directories would be a symbolic link to the same directory:
/app/pt8.47/appserv/APPCRM1/CACHE -> /app/cache/CACHE
/app/pt8.47/appserv/APPCRM2/CACHE -> /app/cache/CACHE
1) Is this a supported and tested configuration?
2) What are possible disadvantages of such approach?
3) Does using shared cache make any difference in this situation?
