E-WL: WebLogic 8.1 and 9.2: stopPIA.sh(cmd) Fails with Error "Failed to connect to t3://myhost:port" When HTTP Port is Disabled. (Doc ID 754038.1)

Symptoms

After disabling the HTTP port and only listening on the the HTTPS/SSL port for PIA, the stopPIA.sh script won't shut down the PIA server.

The error message returned is:

Failed to connect to t3://myhost:port Destination unreachable; nested exception is:
     java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused; No available router to destination
