E-WL: Is there a Fix for when JAVA_OPTIONS_ADMINSERVER Overrides JAVA_OPTIONS_WIN32 Parameter in WebLogic setEnv.cmd file? (Doc ID 761253.1)

Last updated on APRIL 14, 2016

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.4 to 8.49 [Release 8.4]
Generic Windows

Goal

There are two parameters for the java options in the setEnv.cmd/sh, in a multiserver domain environment: JAVA_OPTIONS_ADMINSERVER and JAVA_OPTIONS_OS .   These parameters are used to change Java settings for the WebLogic servers such as heap.

As per the description in the setEnv.cmd/sh file, if the parameter JAVA_OPTIONS_ADMINSERVER is set then this applies to only admin server and JAVA_OPTIONS_OS applies to all managed servers.

This behavior is different between Windows and Unix platforms, and currently, the Windows parameter JAVA_OPTIONS_ADMINSERVER overrides JAVA_OPTIONS_WIN32
