Symptoms

The site has recently installed HCM 9 with PeopleTools 8.49.13. This is a test environment and the process scheduler is running in windows 2003 Enterprise server and the compiler release is Net Express 4.

ALL Cobols were successfully compiled on the file server and moved to the process scheduler. COBOL jobs run to success in another test environment which has its process scheduler on a different windows machine.

When testing Cobol processes, it was found that ALL cobols run to error and there is no data in the log file. The scheduler message log shows error "Process Request shows status of 'INITIATED' or 'PROCESSING' but no longer running. " Other process types viz App Engine, sqr and crystal jobs run to success.

When a cobol test is run from the command prompt session ( e.g d:\hcm89\cblbina> ptpdbtst ), the following error is seen :

"The License database for the Net Express application server has been moved from its original location or removed and recreated.Delete the database, which is mfasdb, and reinstall the license keys"

The following error messages may also be encountered.

" The license database for Net Express Application Server does not exist and is
required to run your application. If you received a license with your application, install it using AppTrack. Otherwise contact your application supplier."

" No license is installed for Micro Focus Server. Either install a license key using AppTrack or contact your system administrator or your application supplier. "
