Symptoms

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

Processes submitted to the Process Scheduler go to success. However when they are handed off to the Distribution Server, there is an error "SSLHandshakeException" "Untrusted Server Certificate Chain" during the Posting process and the processes go to Distribution Status = Not Posted.

Alternative error message for the same problem:  ""Java exception thrown: javax.n et.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: unknown certificate"

WHAT IS KNOWN SO FAR:

1) Files are not transferred to the psreports repository because of the error and hence they build up in the scheduler log_output directory.

2) The links to the View Log/Trace are not present on the Details page, and hence report output files cannot be viewed from the web by the end users.

3) Report Node is configured using:
- SSL
- Fully qualified domain name

4) When attempting to post a process output to Report Repository using HTTPS protocol, the following error occurs:

ERROR

PSDSTSRV.22515 (3) [1900-01-01T00:00:00.000 PostReport] - - - (1) Java exception thrown: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: java.security.cert.CertificateException: Untrusted Server Certificate Chain
