E-PRCS: Processes RunStatus/DistributionStatus shows Success/Not Posted. Message Log Shows "Failed To Connect To The SMTP Server" (Doc ID 781698.1)

There are multiple symptoms that can result in the "Failed to connect to the SMTP server" message.

1) While running processes through the Process Scheduler, processes run to "Success.", however, the Distribution Status ends in "Not Posted".

2) When the Process Scheduler goes through its shutdown routine, it hangs.
