E-NV: Windows 2003 SP2, Excel 2003 SP2 Causes nVision To Hang, Run To Success Then Error (Doc ID 805774.1)

Symptoms

There are differing symptoms for this issue:

1) nVision reports run via the Process Scheduler run to a runstatus of Success/Posted, but after the nVision timeout has been reached, the runstatus is updated to Error/Posted.

2) nVision reports remain in a "Processing" status when run via the Process Scheduler.

In the Task Manager, one observes the "psnvs.exe" executable still running, even though the nVision process has completed.

In each case, the issue occurs on Process Scheduler machines running Windows 2003 SP2 and Excel 2003 SP2 and PeopleTools 8.46, 8.47, 8.48 and 8.49.
