Purpose

Introduced in PeopleSoft HCM 8.9, the Person Model represents a dynamic shift in managing the population of individuals interacting with an organization. Organizations can easily associate one person to multiple employment instances or to multiple organizational relationships over time, providing a framework to capture and store all person types, including contingent workers and ‘persons of interest’ within a single database. Leading to greater compliance and deeper business insight, the Person Model allows for organizations to more accurately maintain multiple employee records throughout an individual’s lifecycle with the organization.
