What is happening?
When a flat file is uploaded using either the generated Application Engine (AE) program from a file layout or a modified version of it with incorrect values (an incorrect date, a negative numeric value for a non-signed field, a value which is too long, or a text instead a numeric value), the system is not performing any checks.

The following is happening:

1. A text value to upload into a numeric field is replaced with 0.
2. An incorrect date is replaced with NULL.
3. A value which is too long for a text field is replaced with a " " (space).
4. A negative numeric value is uploaded in a non signed numeric field.

Business impact
Having the system generate errors instead of replacing the incorrect data with another values is the only way  to know that the data is incorrect. Because of the current behavior, one cannot rely  on the system to make sure that the data is correct or not.

What should happen?
An error message should be displayed to inform the users about the incorrect values.
