After installing the PT 8.50 thru PT 8.56 Windows client, the PeopleTools application fails to start and errors with the following.

ERROR - 1

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.  Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

ERROR - 2
-----------------------
Alternately, the error may be
The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tools for more detail.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Start any Windows client PeopleTools application such as Configuration Manager, Application Designer, or Data Mover.

ERROR - 3

PSADMIN TOOL generates below message when you select option 1 to create application server domain.

Steps to reproduce

1. Invoke psadmin.exe
2. Select option 1 for Application server
3. Select option 1 for creating appserver domain.
4. Enter domain name

It generates below message instead of appserver domain configuration template.

Ubbgen.exe Application Error.
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click ok to terminate the application.
