*** NOTE: This below is an example scenario but can be applied to any filetypes in general. The solution will be similar - adding new mimetypes in webserver configuration.
When trying to open or download xlsx or docx filetypes the files are being opened or saved as winzip files.
The issue is seen with Office 2003 as well as Office 2007 files. So whether the xlsx and docx files are Office 2003 or 2007 the issue occurs.
Users have to save the files as winzip then manually rename them to xlsx or docx and then open in respective application.
Sequence of events:
1. From a case or an email click the xlsx/docx attachment
2. Get the prompt to open/download the file in winzip
Rest of the filetypes are working fine. only xlsx and docx are problem
Theres no error - it is expected that the files will open in their respective apps.
