Purpose

The purpose of this troubleshooting guide is to understand what the PSPM_REAPER process does and find out what SQL statements are executed when it runs.

The reaper program's main job is to delete a row from the current table (PSPMTRANSCURR) and insert one into the history table (PSPMTRANSHIST). If the reaper is taking a long time to complete,  the first thing that should be done is to find out where exactly is the time being spent.

Is it possible to run some SQL trace to see what SQL's are being executed and find out whether some query is taking a large time to complete?
