Symptoms

In PT8.49.xx, the PeopleSoft SITE_NAME directory is disappearing or inadvertently deleted from webserver' Portal directory. Here's example of location PS_HOME\webserv\peoplesoft\applications\peoplesoft\PORTAL\SITE_NAME. The site name folder contains webserver cache and image directories.

The main symptom is that the PIA images in signon page or during PIA navigation are missing and this folder deletion is discovered as being the cause.

Another symptom/pattern: This folder deletion is found after a PIA restart/cache clear, while the PIA could still work normally for some users whenever the browser is using locally cached images.
