Symptoms

"Generic Service Error" occurring when changing the status of a course session from "active" to "complete" in two different scenarios:

ISSUE 1:

When changing the status of a course session from "active" to "complete," if competencies have been specified on the Course Pre-requisites/Goals page, an error is displayed and the system does not complete the transaction. The system should change the status of the course to "complete" and it should change the attendance for the enrolled students to "complete." It should also update the students Person Profile with the target competencies, if any are specified on the Course Pre-requisites/Goals page. None of these updates are made.

ISSUE 2:

When changing the status of a course session from "active" to "complete," if competencies have been specified on the Course Pre-requisites/Goals page, an error is displayed and the system does not complete the transaction. This issue is replicable only if Rating Model Rating is alphabetic and assigned to competency of particular course.

ERROR:

"Generic Service Error (18137,9). The PeopleCode program executed an Error statement, which has produced this message".
