Payroll user cannot view checks under Review Self Service Paychecks. They have days from check date set to a minus 2 on the paycheck options table but the check date is more than 2 days in the future. They would like to know why they cannot see the employee self service paychecks.
Issue 1: According to the following PeopleBook
PeopleBooks > PeopleSoft Enterprise ePay 9.1 PeopleBook > Managing Pay Information for Payroll for North America > Setting Up and Viewing Self-Service Paychecks > Pages Used to View Self-Service Paychecks
the following is stated:
To resolve questions raised by employees about their paychecks, the payroll administrator can view employees' self-service paychecks in an online view that replicates the employees' view. The list page lists both PDF paychecks and historical checks that are not in PDF format. **Administrators can view all paychecks, regardless of the availability date specified for employee
viewing of PDF checks.**
The last sentence implies that the administrator can view the checks immediately after the Create PDF Paycheck process has been run. However, the administrator is not able to view either the PDF or the HTML paycheck until the availability date has been met.
However, you cannot view the paycheck even through Review Self Service Paychecks until the check date plus or minus the wait days have been met. A test was run on 12/24/2009 using a check date of 01/08/2010 (15 days in the future) and I was not able to review the self service paycheck. When I set the wait days to -30, I was able to see the PDF paycheck under Review Self Service Paycheck.
You can set the days before / after Check Date on the "Paycheck Options Table"
Set Up HRMS > Product Related > Payroll for North America > Payroll Processing Controls > Paycheck Options Table
The ability to view the checks works the same whether you are the employee viewing it through employee self service or the payroll administrator through review self service paycheck.
