Goal
We need some advice on the best options available to purge historic data and any best practices around it. Over the period we have accumulated lots of data in the DB, mainly S_EVT_ACT, S_SRV_REQ and S_CONTACT. We currently have set of scripts to load EIM tables and purge the data, but since the db has grown massively, each purge cycle takes around 8-9 hrs and we could purge only 2 months of data per run.
We need advice on how best the process can be improved, so we could purge the historic data quickly and also would like to automate the process.
