GATEWAY LOSES CONNECTION TO DATABASE (Doc ID 1078538.1)

Symptoms

Customer is encountering the following error in the namesrvr.log file, which apparently is caused by wrong password being provided in the srvrmgr invocation, but the customer observation is that they cannot invoke srvrmgr when this happens.

DBCLog DBCLogError 1 001881d24b8b2438:0 2010-03-02 10:08:09 [DataDirect][ODBC Oracle driver][Oracle]ORA-03135: connection lost contact


In the nameserver_audit.log the following error is logged, which is associated to a failed login attempt with the connection is lost:

2010-03-02 10:08:09 FailedLogin BYZRCT 11312 srvrmgr.exe sadmin


In the AOM log file the following error is logged:

2010-03-02 10:08:17 Server Manager Authentication Failed -- insufficient permission.


In the Oracle DB Server Alert log file the following warning message is logged:

Tue Mar 2 09:53:56 2010 WARNING: inbound connection timed out (ORA-3136)
