Is dynamic typing (XML inheritance) supported by Siebel Outbound Web Services? (Doc ID 1096909.1)

Last updated on MARCH 01, 2018

Applies to:

Siebel Service - Version [18379] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Customer WSDL that uses inheritance on some objects. One example is the CreateRequest which contains the Objects as an element which is of type APIObject.
“Subscriber” type  extends “APIObject”  - snippet of WSDL shown below

When importing the WSDL, the “Objects” IC only gets the “APIObject” definition. The expectation in this case is to tell which type Objects would be so it could take the corresponding definition (as Subscriber type, for example).

Customer would like to know if there is a way to import a WSDL with types that inherit from each other and how other customers do that.
