Symptoms

A customer customized Siebel application as follows:

In standard view 'Com Account Trouble Ticket View', the applet 'Com Account Trouble Ticket List Applet' is replaced by a copy where the standard drilldown below:
- - -
Name: Original
Hyperlink Field: SR Number
View: Com Service Request Detail View
Source Field: SR Number
Business Component: Service Request
Destination Field: SR Number
- - -

is inactivated and replaced by this one:
- - -
Name: SR Number
Hyperlink Field: SR Number
View: Com Service Request Detail View
Source Field:
Business Component:
Destination Field:
- - -

A search specification is added to standard applet 'Com TT Service Request Detail Applet', used in several Trouble Ticket (TT) views,  like 'Com Service Request Detail View', 'Com Service Request detail view w/attachments'…

This configuration causes an issue when navigating through views whereby record context is lost.
Here are the steps that produce this issue in the customized Siebel application:

1. Navigate to an accounts view ('All Account List View').
2. Click the "Trouble Tickets" view tab:
> you access the customized view 'Com Account Trouble Ticket View'

3. Drill down on a record in the child list applet (the copy of 'Com Account Trouble Ticket List Applet'):
> you access the customized view 'Com Service Request Detail View'.

4. Create a new record.
5. Click the "Attachments" view tab:
> You access the view 'Com Service Request detail view w/attachments'
> The record context is lost. Indeed the trouble ticket displayed in the top form applet (the copy of 'Com TT Service Request Detail Applet') is not the record newly created but the first record displayed in the child list applet mentioned in step 3.
