Goal

CONTEXT

------------------------------------------------

Customer has a requirement to store 19 digits in one of the fields, so we have added a new column accordingly with the following properties

Physical Type: Number
Length: 22
Precision : 22
Scale: 0

From a user interface (UI) perspective, even with the above properties, Siebel is not allowing more than 18 digits.  Also, the last digit i.e. 18th digit gets rounded off to '0'.

For Eg: When I enter 123456789123456789, the value gets saved as 123456789123456780.

But they are able to update the same column with 22 digits through SQL and after updating when they check the same in UI, they receiving the following error.

An error has occurred executing a SQL statement.

Please continue or ask your systems administrator to check your application configuration if the problem persists.

QUERY

-----------

Is this a expected Siebel behavior or is there any workaround for this?
