Goal


How to make EAI Siebel Adapter  Upsert/Insert/Update/Synchronize to "transparently" post in Siebel Db, a phone number  with leading "1" and without country code prefix ("+...")?

So the leading "1" should not be recognized to be the country code for USA/Canada and removed from the value before saving in Siebel.

Example  phone number, received in an integration component field like "1301234567" should be stored "as is" without conversion to US-number like: "(301)234-567". After Siebel DB update, the saved phone number should be correctly displayed in the Siebel UI with accordant country code (default to that Application), for example for China (PRC): "+86130123456".
