I understand you have a number of questions about the implications for Siebel in general and especially the implications for Siebel Remote (Database Extract/Synchronization) if all the attachment files are not present in the Siebel File System at the time of start-up.
1). Which impact could we have if all the SAF files are not in the Siebel FileSystem ?
2). Which will be the impact of these missing files on the DbExtract and synchronization if the customers are doing some changes on these files ?"
3). We need to be sure that we will lose any files
If a local client modify a document on his database and want to synchronise.
We would like to know how it will work during the transaction merger.
If the file does not exist a this moment in the File System, what happens ?
This case :
- The attachment is present in the local computer but not copied at this time on the File System Siebel server.
- The customer modify the file and do a synchronization
- What will do the transaction merger ?
Will he copy the file , an error will occur ?"
