Performance Issue in Task Based UI (TBUI) Query on Field Made Case Insensitive By CIAI Wizard (Doc ID 1270150.1)

Symptoms

Query on a field which has been configured to be case insensitive by the Case Insensitive Accent Insensitive (CIAI) Wizard has poor performance in Task Based UI (TBUI).

Analysis of the SQL for this query in TBUI shows that UPPER function based index is being referenced. This index does not exist on the referenced column.

Changes

The column has been configured to be case insensitive by using the CIAI Wizard.

The TBUI task has a query step which performs a query on the field corresponding to this column which has been made case insensitive by CIAI Wizard.
