End of File Error when Downloading CRM Desktop Package

Symptoms

When trying to download the published package, the CRM Desktop client fails with the following error:

CRM Desktop logs

"Error occurred while retrieving meta data package: An end of file error has occurred"

Following errors are printed in the CRMDesktop log file:

15:33:47:149-3724: Exception 'struct configuration::mapi_settings::values_set_not_found' throwing: Value set 'Facade Wrapper Configuration:Siebel4Outlook:99E6C7415B386E09F90BC5EA051EE44D' cannot be found!
15:33:47:165-3724: Exception 'struct sd3::facade_extension::not_installed' throwing: Facade and misc structures was not installed for this folder: 00000000D3723DA58849044CB776D27F25ECF7410100EEF80555671C7342902B619D742140A800000287346F0000
15:33:47:180-3724: queue executor #16 destroyed
15:33:49:634-3268: Exception 'class siebel::siebel_cntr_exception' throwing: siebel_service: error occurred while retrieving meta data package: An end of file error has occurred.

 

Note this is only applicable on CRM Desktop 3.04
