Siebel BI Publisher Reports Integration Not Working With Hashed Password Enabled (Doc ID 1299789.1)

Symptoms


Siebel BIP Reports fail to run when the User Password Hashing is turned on. It is also not possible to upload the Report templates to the BIP Server.


SBL-EAI-04308: Operation 'getTemplateParameters' of Web Service 'http://xmlns.oracle.com/oxp/service/v11/PublicReportService.PublicReportServiceService' at port 'PublicReportService_v11' failed with the following explanation: "oracle.apps.xdo.webservice.exception.AccessDeniedException: java.lang.SecurityException: Failed to log into BI Publisher: invalid username or password.".



How to Reproduce

1. Install and configure Siebel CRM 8.1.1.1 and BIP 10.1.3.4.1. Implement Siebel Security Model.

2. Enable User Password Hashing for Siebel CRM by setting the 'DSHashUserPwd' = True for the 'Server Datasource' named subsystem.

3. Try to upload or execute any Siebel BIP Report.

4. It fails and the above mentioned error message comes up.
