Symptoms


On :  8.1.1 [21112] version, Email Marketing Server

When attempting to start the ESD the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpMethodDirector executeWithRetry
INFO: I/O exception caught when processing request: The server 10.1.208.39 failed to respond

ERROR OnPremiseAppListener Unable to connect to siebel
com.siebel.sem.common.db.DataProcessor$ConnectionFailureException: org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: Read timed out; nested exception is:
    java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out; nested exception is:
    org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: Read timed out; nested exception is:
    java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
    at com.siebel.sem.ws.integrated.net.connect.ConnectTest.isModuleLicensed(ConnectTest.java:68)


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Start the ESD service
2. It gets stopped following the error
